Multi-Day Trips

Melbourne is Australia’s second-largest and fastest-growing city and the Capital city for the State of Victoria. It is best known as the Arts, Sports and Culture precinct of Australia with a global reputation for its diversity, energy and creativity. To many of our travellers from Europe, Melbourne offers that refreshing ‘taste of home’ with the cities architectural beauty often being compared to cities like Berlin and Vienna. With much of your adventures tours in Australia being about vast coastline and perpetual sunshine all year round, Melbourne distinctively has the four seasons and offers a uniquely vibrant metropolitan atmosphere that no other city in Australia can. Continuously rated ‘the most liveable city in the world’, Melburnians are very proud of their festive and artistic heritage and would be more than delighted to talk that through with you over an almond latte!

Melbourne Laneways
Melbourne’s laneways form a distinctive network of narrow alleys that blend the city’s historic character with its modern creative culture. Once used mainly for servicing buildings in the CBD, many of these lanes were transformed from the 1990s onward into lively pedestrian spaces. Today, they are known for colourful street art, small cafés, independent boutiques, restaurants and bars. Popular spots such as Hosier Lane and AC/DC Lane showcase ever-changing murals, while other laneways hide coffee shops and unique local businesses. Together, they offer a close-up look at Melbourne’s urban identity and its thriving arts and food scenes.

FAQ

If you are short on time and could only select one place, it would be a Great Ocean Road day trips. Its not only famous for the twelve apostles and stunning coastline, there are several hidden spots that will keep you on your toes. In saying that, all the adventure spots in Melbourne offer something very unique with the Grampians and Wilsons Prom’s becoming more and more popular each year.

This depends on what your intentions are for Australia. If you are on the Work and Holiday visa, we would recommend 3-6 months over the spring and summer. If you are here on a tourist visa and want to see all parts of Australia, then a minimum of 7 days is recommended.

The best way to see Phillip Island is with one of our preferred tour operators for the Island. They are both very comfortable and flexible with the tour guides providing all the entertainment. If you choose to self-drive with friends that is also possible through one of preferred car and camper providers. Unfortunately, if you are wanting to go via public transport the trains do not go directly there, and you would have to either time it with one of the bus services. This is not recommended because of its inconvenience and if you are going for the penguin parade, penguins only come from the water at sundown -so finding a late-night service back to Melbourne city wouldn’t be possible.

Absolutely. It is not only great to travel here, but many internationals also choose to live here. Variety is the spice of Melbourne life and everything you need is at your fingertips.

The most common Melbourne night out would start with a bottomless brunch before heading to the footy, grabbing a cocktail at a rooftop bar and then making your way to any number of the heaving late night boozy spots across the city. Melbourne is open all night long so there is generally no rush to get any of the late-night pubs and bars. There is always the Eureka Skydeck and night walks for those wanting to see the colour of the city as it lights up.

That’s easy! If you are coming to Melbourne either internationally or in any main centre of Australia, our friendly agencies are at your service to assist your every need. Whether it be knowing the right areas to find accommodation or reserving a spot on any of our amazing adventures here, there is always a store near you waiting to tailor a plan to meet your desires. Alternatively, you can always jump on our online store if that’s better for you.

This is near impossible to answer with every single cuisine you could ask for, all in the CBD! If we were to single out one strip, it would be Degraves Lane where you might even spot kangaroo burger!
